General description

New in the Teltonika family, The router RUT 500 is the ideal device for remote control via HSPA + / UMTS / GPRS for industrial automation systems or building automation. It offers wireless data connectivity to public networks HSPA +, combined with the support of the previous generation phone services in the case of operating without UMTS signal. HSPA + can reach download speeds of 21 Mbps.

RUT500 offers access to the Internet network PC or PLC, without the need of a fixed telephone line. Does not require any software to run on a PC and is able to remote in complete security on the Internet your system. The ideal solution to overcome the problem of the digital divide and bring a fast Internet connection in places not yet covered by ADSL technology.

It is equipped with DDNS support and allows a fixed address even if your contract does not cover this. It is an immediate solution and in maximum security (is equipped with firewall and VPN) to connect remotely to your automation system or your camera system over IP. It integrate 4 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports, one of which is configurable as WAN Backup, to give support and to take over in case of fault of the normal ADSL or another router 3G.

The router introduces important changes compared to the previous model: in addition to using a new component for connection to the HSPA + broadband network, the router integrates a new hardwre much faster and a new firmware based on OpenWRT system. In addition, the operating system is reachable and manageable through SSH interface. The support of the commands via SMS introduces a higher level of security and reliability, keeping unchanged the previous functionality of Ping Reboot. Also introduced various new services to support Dynamic DNS, both commercial and custom. Also the Wifi module has been updated to version 802.11n for wireless connection extremely fast.
